It's a daily grind trying to stretch feed for all the animals but it's especially hard to come up with " snacks" for them. By snacks I do mean healthy snacks like greens , fruits and vegetables. But our critters have a fairy Godmother. Amy Lee happens to have a connection with one of the local grocery stores that when they're ready to throw out older fruits and vegetables they let her pick them up to feed to the animals she has. But she shares with us out of the goodness in her heart and it not only does it save us on buying these but the animals get a really nice healthy snack that has high grade nutritional value.
So to Amy Lee Thank You from the bottom of mine , Risha , Bella , Penelope, Flossy Mae, Mocha , puddles, harper , scooter, buttons, lily and all the other crazy bunches's hearts đ.
To those of you who have produce you're getting ready to throw out find a farmer with livestock , don't waste perfectly good produce that animals could benefit from. Make a difference. And don't waste. I'm pretty sure the landfill managers would appreciate the gesture as well.
By the way Bella sure did appreciate the grapes for brunch . đ¤Łđđ
