After morning chores I sat on the back deck and instead of contemplating the " need to do " list I sat back and appreciated what God had already given me. What an epiphany.
I think way too many times especially in America we tend to look at what we need to be doing or what we want versus what we already have and not taking the time to appreciate what has been accomplished and what we already have. In other words it's another way that this country is hurtling towards a godless society. It seems like America just keeps chipping away at it piece by piece.
Maybe it's time to put a quarum on that, stop , slow down a bit and start giving thanks and appreciation for what we already have.
If we don't I think they're going to be discussing in future history books of how we went the way of Greece , Rome etc. When godlessness begins to slumber in and slowly take hold it becomes a self perpetuating slippery slope.
So at some point just sit back for a second , take a breath , slow down and give thanks and appreciate what's been sitting right in front of you all along. Just take one second , I promise if you really give it a chance it will take your breath away.
