Most people just think if you're using " organic " honey all is well in your " organic" world. But did you know if you're not using a local honey where the bees have utilized your local pollen you're probably not going to get the biggest bang for your buck.
When you use local honey you're getting a constant low level of local pollen year round and building a tolerance up for that pollen in a savory way. Then when the season for pollen rolls around while everyone else is hacking and having the classic runny nose you're sitting there without Kleenex having a grand day.
So if you're looking to have honey for medicinal reasons make sure and buy local otherwise it's really just another sweetener that makes you feel better because it's not processed sugar. Mind you it's definitely a more healthy choice but it's not the immune booster you planned on if it's not local.
