Chekhov may have been right

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and no bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life and normally the holiday festivities gets most through the dark dreary days of the winter.

However this year there seems to be an attack on certain aspects of that tradition and for the most part aiming these " new ' grand ideals at one aspect of the population.

So let me see if I understand this thought process now. Covid 19 can be spread in churches , family gatherings and events conservative people attend but are not at bars , strip clubs and doesn't spread at lavish dinners that democratic politicians attend.

Let me explain something to you, if you don't allow gatherings of families and celebrations not to mention gatherings that has to do with faith that can get most through the bleakness of winter we're going to have a much bigger problem on the other side.

Do you recall when George Bailey in it's a wonderful life got to see what the world would be like if he were never born? Well I sincerely think that's the world we are going to turn into if we continue to head down this path.

So When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and no bereft of hope. Well maybe he was right if we continue down this crazy road we're on. I certainly am hoping for a 180.
