Covid 19 and Vitamin D

Just reading the latest article concerning Covid 19 and the subject of vitamins and minerals have been coming up. One interesting fact came up concerning vitamin D defiency being related to more likely acquiring Covid 19.

Vitamin D defiency is apparently prevalent in the current population today.

Believe it or not it's more prevelent now than it was 30 years ago and absolutely more prevelent than it was 50 years ago.

Apparently some of the major culprits is the overwhelming use of sunscreen and people spending more time out of the sun and in front of a computer or any screen indoors. Due to this your ability to produce vitamin D is greatly depreciated . The best studies now say most of the population has decreased their vitamin D production by around 90 - 95 percent.

So the current recommendations are encouraging the taking of vitamin D supplements. Why is it that every solution in America is to take a pill ? Why not just remedy the problem head on. Use less sunscreen and spend more time outdoors. By the way your best time to produce vitamin D is in between 10 am through 3 pm daily no matter what your location in the continental United States.

If you want to have some natural way of getting some supplemental vitamin D to help in with your immune system in the fight against Covid 19 there's always fish oil , spinach, cow's milk , orange juice , mushrooms and my favorite chicken or duck eggs which are high in vitamin D. đŸŠ†đŸ“đŸ˜đŸ‘©â€đŸŒŸ

The smart thing to do is don't use as much sunscreen and push away from that screen whether it's call of duty or Netflix and spend a little more time outdoors. I know that's getting to be an odd thing these days but trust me outdoor time is not only great for boosting your immune system but can really give you a great mental time out in this fast paced 24/7 American lifestyle currently being pushed.

So my advice get outdoors . đŸ‘©â€đŸŒŸđŸ˜đŸ„ŹđŸ“đŸŠ†đŸ‡
