Different circumstances

With our recent issues with predators attacking our feathered livestock the obvious answer was a guard goose. However living in the suburbs it's a little tricky. Our neighbors love their eggs and our chickens and last remaining duck are relatively quiet. A guard goose not so much. A goose is extremely verbal , loud, and much more aggressive than our current population of livestock. The chickens and ducks were an easy sale , the rabbits , no problem. The loud , aggressive guard goose I don't think that's going to fly.

There's always a tried and true way that's been used to deal with various issues but not " one size fits all " is absolutely the answer . Everybody's situation is different. Circumstances are different and finding solutions is the tricky amalgam of intricate parts all pieced together in a makeshift sort of way to make it solve your issue. Mine is trying to find a way to prevent my neighbors from being irritated and yet keeping my feathered producers out back from being used as a buffet. I'm pretty sure me hiding in a blind on the back deck and mowing down hawks with a 12 gauge wouldn't please the neighbors either. So this is going to be a tricky one.
