With all the snakes I've had this year just figured you'd all want to know this is the time of year that baby copperheads come out and start their journey. When they come out they're going to be aggressive and they don't usually utilize " dry bites' or non-venomous bites as a warning. They usually inject large amounts of venom due to inexperience. Any bite from a infant or juvenile snake is likely one that needs immediate medical attention.
So if an unfortunate event occurs and you do become the unfortunate victim of a snake bite that old treatment of cutting and providing suction to a snake bite wound is not in your best interest, you can actually make things worse than better and you're really not providing any benefit whatsoever.
So with this time of year be extremely vigilant and keep your head and ears on a swivel. Watch out for those pesky little critters.
And in my case the .22 will be in hand. 🐍🎯
