Maybe We need a Fireplace

You know Mark Twain once said " shut the door not that it let's the cold in but it let's the coziness out. "

There's definitely something about having a nice fireplace in the winter not so much just the heat and warmth it provides but the feeling it encompasses. So I'm not even sure a gas fireplace would qualify. It just doesn't have that feel , that sound. We once had a fireplace in the first house we bought way back some years ago and it was fantastic. It was also a security blanket. If the power went out so what , the kids were small back then and loved it. It provided light, heat and a way to cook food.

So after this winter I've really began to long for that again. Maybe a future project. Who knows but I can definitely see us having that fireplace experience back into our future.
