The Thanksgiving holiday is rolling quickly around the corner. I was considering this morning the plight of those original pilgrims of Holland and their arrival here in an uncertain world. The documented reasons are well established through their writings. I think it's been attempted to gloss that reason over time and time again. It was religious freedom. They were highly persecuted heavily in England then in Holland. They wanted their children and future descendants to have the ability to worship Jesus Christ without governmental or societal intrusion. Somehow that's one part of the story long since lost.

So before sitting down at the table full of an over abundance of food and soon to follow food coma keep in mind that true original " Thanksgiving" that has long been covered over by modern society and their attempt to gloss the truth over.
That original Thanksgiving had a minor thanks for food but MOSTLY a thanks to God for their ability and freedom to worship and follow the teachings of the bible . Don't loose that aspect sitting down for that meal this thanksgiving.
