To light or not to light that is the question

You know it seems so many people now are so impatient. They all want to add lights inside the chicken coop to keep up egg production. When in reality they need to take into account the stress it puts on their flock. And the subsequent problems it is going to create with the health of the chickens. It can not only cause more aggressive behavior but can overwork the chickens and cause serious health problems in the chickens thereby shortening their lifespan. Eggs have a season just like any other product you harvest on a homestead or farm I realize today's society wants things fast , more, better and how THEY want it but maybe with this one give the hens a break while you spend your time shopping till you drop this holiday season.
