It can be discouraging to work and toil over a garden day in and day out worrying about every little thing even during the down season working the soil and getting things ready for the upcoming season. Then you have water needs, nutrients to add or subtract from the soil in a teidosome manner , preparing the area to keep pests out without harming livestock or injecting chemicals that could be taken up by your crops thereby actually contaminating what you eat.
So yes it can be tiresome for some. Me it as about as cathartic and serene as I can get it, but for those days you are absolutely jacked and happy , really over the moon , once all of your hard work starts to pay off. Each year once the garden starts producing results that's when you say yes it was absolutely all worth it. And when you're eating better flavored crops or fruits that are harvested at the perfect time knowing there's no chemicals involved in you growing said crops even the person that thinks it's an awful lot of work steps back takes a deep breath and now understands what all of the effort was for.
So if you've ever thought about a garden there's still time this season to give it a whirl. Maybe you'll find that shangrala has been right there all the time.
As for me it's time to fry up these squash. Yes I know that's a thing for those of us here in the south but man Isn't it wonderful .🍆👨🌾😁
